Tadzio
Tadzio was started by Philadelphia musician, Ross Lipton, as a collaboration between singer Mandy Katz and harpist Darian Scatton to focus on exploring open song structures using a diverse array of textures. Ross and Mandy began collaborating in 2009 on a set of songs loosely based on the poetry of Herman Hesse, the chromatic palette of Eduard Vuillard and the violent lines of Egon Schiele. This resulted in a song cycle entitled Queen of the Invisible. The songs were arranged and recorded with Darian throughout 2011 and an album is set to be released this year on vinyl.
