Reighnbeau Come to Philadelphia
Bryce Hample of Hedia is currently on tour with another project of his called Reighnbeau, which is a duo of drums, guitar, clarinets, bells, and melancholic droney ocean waves. In case you are unfamiliar with Mr. Hample, he is a multi-instrumentalist from Albuquerque, where he records and performs in a number of different projects including Yoda's House, Rabbit, and the aforementioned groups. One of the instruments he plays is the wonderful viola de gamba, which was played during the Renaissance and Baroque periods, and he has contributed a piece to our upcoming compilation, A Cure For The Broken-Hearted, that makes ample use of that and a number of other sounds. He is playing in Philadelphia on Saturday, May 15th with Reighnbeau. The show is part of an off and on series of salons hosted by Ross Lipton (Br'er, A Three Ring Circus, Brothers Tadzio) in his living room at 43rd & Spruce. There will be a number of performers, including an electronic set by Benjamin Schurr of Br'er and Charles Cohen of Lopass Mates and Color is Luxury as well as a ton of free food.
